 All the cards and journals on this site are handmade by myself. I sometimes use a ready made base and incorporate my ideas into or onto them - eg: the wooden cards shown in the Novel section. More often than not I make the card from scratch. The journals are all handmade from start to finish. They have hand-sewn spines and either handmade or hand painted paper. Whatever design floats into my head - I try and achieve it. I am a lover of handcrafts, all papers and the written word. I try to carry this through into what is put forward on this web-site. The samples shown give some of the styles of my cards and journals. Any of the styles can be made to your requirements with regards to the colours you prefer - both for the cards and the journal covers and interior. The only limit to is the range of colours available for the inner pages for the journals. BUT..........what on earth would you do with a journal!!! Keep a light-weight journal handy in your car/handbag and note down addresses, phone numbers or even ideas that spring to mind when you are out and about. Keep a daily/weekly diary and watch the flow of your life over time. Take one on holiday - where you've been, addresses of places to revisit - even on line addresses for future reference. You could even use one as a recipe book - add a recipe and pass amongst friends to add their own specialities and gift to someone learning to cook or going flatting etc. There are many ways in which a journal could be put to use - it's up to your or your recipients imagination .
